Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and PVO GROUP LIMITED, a company registered in New Zealand, which operates PVO.

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. We may update them periodically; continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

PVO is an invite-only professional network. You represent that:

— You have at least 3 years of professional industry experience.

— You are a Vietnamese professional working overseas.

— You will not impersonate others, post spam, harass members, or scrape platform data.

We reserve the right to moderate content to maintain high standards. This includes:

— Removing off-topic or promotional content.

— Using AI to screen profile photos; non-professional images will be rejected.

— Suspending accounts that misrepresent professional credentials.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By posting, you grant PVO a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the platform to provide our services.

PVO is free to use. Every feature available to members — networking, matching, messaging, events and resources — is provided free of charge, and nothing on the platform is offered for sale.

We may introduce optional paid features in future. If we do, they will be clearly identified before you are asked to pay, and any payment would be handled by a third-party payment processor under its own terms. Until then there is nothing to purchase and we collect no payment details.

PVO (Professional Vietnamese Overseas) is a strictly independent, private organization. PVO is not affiliated with, endorsed by, funded by, or connected to any government agency, political entity, or external regulatory body — whether in Vietnam, New Zealand, or elsewhere.

Opinions, content, and networking activity conducted on this platform represent the viewpoints of individual members and the private administration of PVO, entirely separate from any state or public authority. Acknowledgment of this independent status is a condition of account creation.

PVO is a networking platform, not a provider of licensed professional services. Advice shared by members (career, financial, medical, etc.) is for information purposes only and is used at your own risk. PVO is not liable for your professional decisions or the accuracy of user-generated content.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in spam, or misrepresent their professional identity. Appeals can be directed to hello@thepvo.com.

You can close your account yourself at any time, without asking us and without giving a reason, under Settings → Account. You do not need a reason and we will not ask for one.

— Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your profile and everything you posted is removed from our active database, and neither you nor we can restore it afterwards.

— It also removes replies other members wrote on your inquiries, because those replies live on your posts. If you would rather leave a discussion standing, delete the individual inquiry first, or leave it in place.

— We email you a confirmation once it is done. Joining again later is welcome; it would be a new account, starting empty.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes will be settled via good-faith negotiation or binding arbitration.

PVO runs PVO Connect, a random 1:1 networking feature. Every member is in the pool by default, which means you may be paired at random with another member for a short introductory meeting.

— If the two of you agree a time, PVO creates the meeting on its own Google Workspace calendar and Google emails you both an invite with a video link.

— Your match sees your name and the meeting time. Your email address is not shared with them.

— You can leave the pool at any time under Settings → Notifications, and you can let any individual match lapse without leaving.

PVO is also available as an iOS app and an Android app. The apps present the same PVO service, and everything in these Terms applies to them exactly as it applies to the website.

— Apple is not a party to these Terms. This agreement is between you and PVO. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it — if something is wrong, contact us at hello@thepvo.com.

— Your use of the app is also subject to the App Store Terms of Service and to Apple's usage rules, which sit alongside these Terms rather than replacing them.

— Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to the app, and may enforce them against you.

— Any claim about the app itself — that it does not work as described, or infringes someone's rights — is ours to answer, not Apple's.

— If you use the Android app, your use of it is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.

— Push notifications are optional. You choose whether to allow them when the app asks, you can change that at any time in your device settings, and what we send is controlled under Settings → Notifications.
